What is the next breakthrough or gadget on ATV's?

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>and since it took 20 years for EFI to trickle down it will probably take another 20 years for the next big thing to follow</end quote></div>
I think more of things that are a obvious and instant improvement. Like Disk brakes and liquid cooling when they came out 10 years ago or more.
A drum brake will never stop like a disk brake ATV and a air cooled ATV will never stay as cool as a liguid and difflocking ATV has more traction than limited slip only ATV.
But a person would be hard pressed to tell if the ATV he is riding is EFI or a carb when riding one.
There are ATVs out there still using crappy drum brakes without a diff lock option to this day yet have EFI already, which is a bad order of priorities for improvements.

Built in 2 way radio with powered antenae with jacks for headsets or remote headsets.
A hybrid would be neat... gasoline/electric.
Also would like to see a Contractor version that has built in 110V generator.</end quote></div>
Power inverter?</end quote></div>
A power inverter would work but running the quad for power would not be as efficient as a smaller dedicated gasoline powered one.
Another idea.. a LPG conversion kit for quads.

A hybrid ATV would be like the cars, they would cost so much more than the gas only model that you could never make the money back on gas savings before its in the bone yard.

Agreed ... but... think of it.. the camo stealth quad. A silently running quad just might have a niche in some markets.
Just think of all the hippy eco friendly hunters out there!!!

I never though about that advantage with Hyprids, no mile walk to deer stands and quite of bird hunters.</end quote></div>
Come on TLC that never crossed your mind. I live a stones throw away from a golf resort my mom and wife used to work at.. A buddy of mine bought an old golf cart off of them just for hunting at our cabin up north. It was awesome we couldnt go too deep in the woods or anything real bad but we could make our way around and really cover some ground to the huntin spots with it. The only downfall was getting hammered up and rolling it over the hillside to the creek. If it wasnt so beautiful up there I think he would have left it. What a hell of a day gettin that thing back to camp. Needless to say, no more quiet cart. However it was fun and awesome while it lasted....

Does a Frank $h!t in the woods? Heck yeah! If my friends and I take nothing else with us, we still have TP. I keep mine in a zip-loc bag. It no fun wiping with leaves when you're in the middle of a 2,500 acre red pine plantation. Believe me, you DON'T want to go there.
