Identifing Polaris Engines
I need to know if Polaris ever made a 300-350cc liquid cooled 4 stroke single cylinder engine. So far I have only found the 335, 330 and 325 4 stroke engines and they have all been air/oil cooled. I have also found that the 250 and 300 2-strokes were only air/oil cooled. The only Liquid cooled engines I have found are the 400 2-stroke, the 500 4-stroke and the diesel. I am not worried about the twin cylinder engines. Am I correct or am I missing some? Thanks.

you missed the 425 4stroke liquid cooled. The very first Polaris 4stroke which is the same thing as the 2000- 03 400Sportsman</end quote></div>
They bored that one out to make the 500 and bored it out less to make the 455. That's what I've been told by dealers anyway. Great engines IMO.
