Not really the machines fault though. I was playing in a mud hole sunday and broke the left front cv axle. The front end was then locked up, winching it out was very tough. The right rear tire went flat due to unknown causes at the time, but now I know what happened.
Anybody curious?</end quote></div>
I'm very sorry to hear about your ride, and I hope you have it back on the trail soon.

I just realized this is the same guy..if you read post at the bottom I said "It sounds like if there is a weakness with the XP you will find it" lol
Sounds like where he rides is a very harsh enviroment and he cuts a machine no slack.(No negativity intended Wolf, It's your machine and you admitted it wasn't the machines fault)

I must be missing something here. I measured my 850 today and there is an 1 1/4 between the inside of the spokes and the disc and they are set well into the wheel itself. How could a small rock effect this area? I'm curious.
Take care,
Dave</end quote></div>
The clearance problem is not between the spokes and rotor. Its between the top of the brake caliper and inside of wheel.

Yep we do ride hard and in very demanding conditions. In Idaho we have a wide range of terrain, huge mountains, open desert, mud, snow, rocks and we ride it all.
We push our machines to the limits regularly, and use our winches alot. But, thats why we buy them, and fix them!

Wolf 1 would this mean that offset rims would cure a problem like this? Sorry to hear about your ride being down. Are the new items needed available to you through your dealer or do they have to order everything in.
Take care
Dave</end quote></div>
I don't think offset wheels would help as much as bigger wheels, but they are already 14" so thats kinda hard to accomplish.
All the parts I need have to be ordered in nothing in sock or interchangeable from previous years.
