Done by the dealer w. parts and labor?</end quote></div>
Not sure about a 850 but a 800 belt is $63.49 labour who Knows? its really a do it yourself job ? Its like paying a mechanic to change your spark plug, even though a trained monkey could do the job as good,, a mechanic still wants to be paid something even if the task is a no brainer.

You are correct HO
I was guessing I did more damage than just a belt... Tomorrow is 2 weeks at the dealer and i still haven't gotten a call from them... I'm about to call and find out wtf is going on....
Now I wish I had kept it and replaced the belt myself.
I did read the owners manual and WAS aware of the front lever working front and rear brakes. It's basically the same as on the AC which I have replaced brakes on before.
I saw a video on youtube of someone doing a spinout via holding the lever. Eventually the rear wheel brakes loosen up and the rear wheels spin. I have done this a few times before with no immediate problems....
Live and learn. I know I'm not the first to make a stupid move on an atv and I won't be the last....
