Default Carb problems

I got a 2004 6x6 500cc Ranger that I have here in Az but for the summer I wnt to take it to Co in the summer,we are in the desert here in AZ,going to Co will I need to rejet the carb and if so how will I know what jet size to run at say 10.000 feet.

Your dealer should know. Just tell them what elevation you'll be riding at and they can look it up.

Find a dealer close to where you are going and ask them what they recomend.

Thanks I got it! on that, The other problem is,it floods out weting the plug and won't start I have to dry the plug clamp the fuel line then put it back together it will start so if I'm thinking the seat valve is letting the fuel past the carb and into the cylinder.
I'm pertty sure this is the problem but let us see what you all think.

Default Carb problems

Replace the needle and seat and clean the carb, as for the altitude change you will also have to check the clutching for higher altitude, they change springs and secondary settings.

yeah candosmith,on main jetting,#152.5 above 6000 feet below 40 deg.above 40 deg. is #147.5. on clutching sec. helix position stays at 1-1 and blue green stock primary clutch spring also stays the same becept the 10WH primary shift weights change from that to 10RH.imo you might want to see how the weights work before changing,see what others think about that one.guess depends how long your going to be there............................
