Default Scrambler 400 4x4

I need some input on a few Polaris. What I am looking for is a Scrambler 400 4x4, I perfer it cause of 4x4 plus its 2 stroke. Next is the Sport 400. I think their almost the same besides 4x4. I want to know how they run out and what kind of trouble they give and which is the best over all. What I mean about running out is I ride with a 400z, 400ex, 350 warrior. I am currently between both my bikes, CR 250 and my Banshee. But Im thinking about selling the banshee to get one of these bikes and I want something that my wife can ride easily. Plus I have only rode my banshee around 16 hours in 4 years. I think I would get more use out of a bike with reverse and something I dont have to ride all out all the time. The Polaris would be used for general trail ride like at Carolina Adventure World. But I still want to hold my own with the 400's. Thinks for the input.

the 400 has counter balance oil seal issues, but still dam good engine. lots of aftermarket mods available for this engine. defenatly get the 4x4. i would lean more towards the scrambler 500 4x4. can you tell im getting older. but this is just my opinion....

If you plan on modding it where it would run great then I wouldn't put the wife on it.Once you get them piped and clutched which is a necessity it will have high stall speed(engagement speed) and with the right mods will run like your Banshee.
I would recomend the 500 Scrambler 2001-2003 they come with better factory parts. Then add a slipon muffler and a Dalton blk/white primary spring and it will hold it own

How about Scrambler 400 stock vs suzuki 400z, honda 400ex, 350 warrior in a drag race? What is the top speed? Then if moded up how fast would it run?

A stock 400 Scrambler may run with a 350 Warrior. It needs to be clutched to get to the goodie out of the motor.Polaris is too conservative on the clutching from the factory. They dont want to intimidate the little old lady that may get on it.
Now with the correct mods you can out do most anything up to the point you top out your gear ratio which you cant really change on a Polaris 4x4 due to how the 4x4 works. Now on a 2x4 you can get them to run with anything out there. My last 2x4 would run neck and neck with a modded 660 Raptor and smoke most 400s.Now on running with WARRIOR a good modded 250 Trailblazer will do the trick.BUT like I has said clutching on any Polaris is where the power is.

You could run pretty good with a warrior and I think you could beat one stock.Top speed is around 63-67.400ex some people say they have beaten them stock but I don't really think so same with the z.Modded the sky is the limit or as deep as you pocket.Without nitrous, alcohol or a turbo people have gotton 75 horsepower.
