Hey guys, just wondering if any of you have run into this or not. I was out in the first snow the other night pulling my sisters around on sled behind the wheeler. While doing so, I had the low beam headlights on, the handwarmers on, and the rear work lights on. When the wheeler would sit idling for a while, I noticed the battery light came on flashing. As soon as I revved it a bit, the light went off. You think I should worry about this at all? Or do you think that is just a pretty big drain on the battery and is normal? BTW, this is on an 08 800. you had too much on for the charging system to handle at idle this is why the light came on. i think just the handwarmers take alot of juice i would guess.

 

I agree with the work lights, tail lights, headlights, handwarmers, pod, and most likely the cooling fan, it draws on the charging system at idle. I wish they had more "juice" at idle, but the watts are not enough at idle. Even when on the throttle riding and the fan kicks on I can see the headlights dim a bit.
