Default XP hand and thumb warmers

I just installed some Moose handgrip warmers on my 800. They were $45. They have a nice high/low/off switch that is about 13/16ths in diameter and looks really good mounted on my headlight pod opposite the rear work light switch. They work very well (plowed all day yesterday!) at keeping my hands warm and were super easy to install. I have seen some that had large controllers, didn't like that. This has a black plastic toggle switch that makes it look oem.

Firehog - any pics? I have thought about getting handwarmers as I use my machine to plow and use it out ice fishing. I do, however, like to keep things looking "factory". You could order the factory identical switches from Quadovator and use that with the handwarmer of you choice. However these switches are only on-off I believe so you would have off-low-high. Probably would also want to make sure they are apporiately rated for the current.

Jeez - thinking about it I have about six posts regarding Quadovator over the last week. No - I do not work for them - or get any money for them. Fact, never heard of them till I joined this forum. I am however quite happy with their products given the pricing.

I'll try to get some pics posted tomorrow.

I'm sure there are several brands of warmers out there. I'm by no means saying the moose brand is the best. They were the ones available to me at my local dealer and my hands were near frozen after plowing snow that day. I am a little familiar with snowmobiles and their warmers and design. I liked these because of the attractive switch and the high/low setting.

I found the Polaris part numbers for the XP switches and hand/thumb warmers.
They are as follows;
Hand warmer switch--------4011319
Thumb warmer switch------4012483
Hand warmer----------------2410567
Thumb warmer--------------2410420

And in case anyone is interested the XP part number for the work light switch is,
4011074.
These were made for the 2009 XP headlight pods.

Ok, didn't realize you wanted to see it installed. Thought you just wanted to see the product. I don't know how to post the pic here. Let me try to pm you or send me your email.

I got my hand and throttle warmers put on today. They seem to work well but I haven't had them on for long yet! They are the Pure Polaris XP models.
A worthwhile investment IMO!

Just installed some also. Went with symtec. I agree, the install is very easy with all the hot leads under the little hood in front. I hate using those scotch clips like I had to on other brand atv's. It's like the XP is ready for anything. Nothing like nice warm hands when riding in winter.

Where did you mount the power controller? Velcro it on? How do you secure it to the location you selected? Pics would be awesome!</end quote></div>

Chadly...
Click on the camera under my name...I have a pic in there of where I mounted the controller...I also put a small strip of non skid tape under the bracket so it doesn't slide...
