if its been sitting there could be a rats nest in the jub ports. have you tried spraying starter fluid directly into the cylinder while turning it over? carb could also be gummed up from sitting.
let us know what all you have done to it so we can get a better idea of where the issues stand at

if you take the carb off they are the little plastic flaps you see going into the motor. they are usually the only valves on a 2 stroke motor.
are you sure you getting fuel into the float bowl. lightly unscrew the 17MM bolt on the bottom of it while the fuel line is hooked up. see if fuel starts trickling out of there. if it is, then i would take the carb apart and make sure there isnt a blockage somewhere causing the fuel to stop getting into the carb body.
if it died while idling, what does the end of your spark plug look like? is it white/ashy looking. might have burned a hole in the piston.
