Where to get a good travel cover
#1
Lots of salt and slop on the roads here in the winter time. I am looking to get a good travel cover to put on my SP 800 to keep the collection of this mess to a minimum while trailering it to the lakes to go ice fishing. Any recommendations on where to get a good one. The other option is to have my mom make one. She is a real wiz with a sewing machine.

I bought 2 good travel covers in 2004 from Polaris and they both are still in great shape.
I did have to buy one for my X2 last year but didn't need it for travel so I went with a cheap one from Ebay.

Check Dennis Kirk. Make sure it says "trailerable cover", otherwise it won't last very long.

that is what i was going to reccomend. Go to Cabellas.....they have a lot of stuff that is cheaper than the dealers and they ship really fast too! Their cover is really nice. Heavy Duty too!
Large is 79.99.......if you have nothing added
X-Large is 89.99......if you have the storage racks on her
XX-Large is 99.99......if you have the rack hanging off the back!

I'd get one made from a place like canvascraft or other canvas shop. They'll take a few measurments and have it done in a couple days. It'll run about $120 which isn't that much more than a good store bought one, the difference, the custom made will fit like a GLOVE with straps in the exact right spots. My bud had one made at canvas craft in rogers, MN. He got sick of his store bought flapping in the wind and scuffing his plastic, the custom doesn't flap at all.
