getting ready to order TerraCross Bigfoot Kit for my 2008 700 x2. I noticed that the rear tires are 26-12-12 I thought they were 26-11-12s has any one ran the 12/12. will they fit

 

I'm about 95% sure they will

 

on a related subject, why do "they" say to keep the same size tire on the front and back...l like the TC's too but the front is 26x8x12(08 800)...from what I saw the TC's do not come in that size..can I run the 25x8x12 in front and 26x11x12 in the rear?

You could run different sizes, but it will cause undo stress on the drivetrain and premature tire wear. Plus with larger diameter tires on the rear the front will feel very loose due to the tires skidding in 4wd.
