Cold starting Problem
#2
Does it stay outside(not that sitting outside is the problem, just wondering if the whole machine is cold when it has the problem)
Has he looked at the electrical system,ie battery voltage while cranking ect?
Have tried taking it inside a shop and starting it shortly after, before the machine actually has time to warm up? That would diagnose whether it is a component failing when cold or an EFI sensor, such as the T-BAP giving false information to the ECU.
If you roll it inside where the air is warmer and it fires up before the machine warms up, I'd look at the temp sensor...and in any case would say it is efi related..
If not is is most likely a faulty component failing due to it being cold.
When this happens does it have spark?
Does it throw any codes?
I know, alot of questions, but we'll need more specific info to troubleshoot it without seeing the machine in person...if the dealer is stumped imagine how hard it will be to figure out over the internet. Not saying it can't be done, just that we need very specific information.

We have never had this problem, four of my buddys sit covered outside with battery tenders on them for extended periods. They start right up.Even my carb.500HO started up with no problems. This is in Wisconsin, today it's below zero with wind chills of -30 degrees.Maybe try another dealer.
