Thanks. Yeah, I've done some work on the quad.
It's a lot better than when it was new.
It rides nice, I'm really happy with it now.
My favorite mod is the Springs and Tires.
The deflector is a piece of rubber off of the top of a Truck Plow.
I mounted it with a piece of Aluminum Angle, and SS Hardware,
so it would stand up. It works great, and it was cheap.
I bet a Bug Deflector would work great.

I went out and measured my snow deflector and it's 6" wide. I drilled the holes through it 3/4" away from the edge and it adds almost 5" to the height of the blade. I used carriage bolts, 1-1/4" fender washers, and Nylok nuts to fasten it on. Since the hardware is all zinc-plated it doesn't rust. The fender washers work way better than regular washers that sink into and squash the rubber when you torque the nuts down.

Hmm don't remember. But this is up in Michigan U.P. I'm only hour south of northern most tip, Copper Harbor.\
Thats 08 800 efi with Glacier 2 plow. I bent that damn mount already :/ Caught edge of the plow on hard snow going at a decent clip with a full push of snow. It only got worse because didn't realize it right away after hitting into the bank a few times. Gotta get pics of the banks I'm working already out past the garage there >

Yea, those mounts seem to be weak. Hopefully the one on the Moose system is built better and it can replace the Polaris mount.

The new Moose one I just saw, looked exactly like the Glacier2.
It looked like the same size steel.
A lot of people on here claim they've bent the Glacier 2 mounts up,
but I've never actually seen one. I've welded a few Warn Plows for friends,
but I've never seen a broken Glacier or Glacier 2 mount.
I thought the front mount looked kind of weak
when I first got mine, but it's held up really well.
Well maybe I just got a good one, because I've hit a few piles of frozen snow,
and actually spun the quad around one night when I hit a Catch basin edge pretty hard. I figured the mount was trashed both times, but everytime I look at it,
it's still straight and in one piece. I did change the crappy Chinese hardware out for Grade 8 bolts and real flat washers when I mounted mine.
I hate Crappy Hardware!
I think those 2 bolts that are hard to get to on the front
are the most important ones. They would seem to take all the force.
Has anyone here actually bent one up? Was it because the bolts broke?
Anyone got pictures of a broken one?
I'm kind of interested.
