Default Hard or Soft rear box

My wife got me a rear Polaris box for Christmas and the darn thing was the wrong size. I have a 2002 SP. We called the rep at Grand Prix MS and he confirmed we got a box that fits the newer Polaris models. So we asked for a box that fits the 2002 SP and he told us they no longer make boxes for the 2002, which I fit hard to believe. Is this true?

He suggested we go with a generic brand that fits all models. I need some recommendations. Hard or soft, what brand, what setup works best for attaching to the rear rack?

Thanks for the help guys.

Take a couple measurements and see what size will fit especially if you have and rack extender.....I have this one and I'm really happy with it....

Sorry about that - it's a 2002 SP 500. Do the tie downs/straps hold the soft sided boxes/gear bags securely?
