you can download the owners manual free from the Polaris website, I also would reccomend getting a service manual, someone may post a link to download it, if not you can get one off eBay pretty reasonably
As for the plow, I have a Warn plow, and I have been very pleased with it, I'm sure others will post about the other brands
I got mine pretty cheap off of eBay

Hi Tyler, thanks very much for the info. In fact, I did download a Service Manual for $10. I've tried to find an Owner's Manual on the PurePolaris.com link but can find nothing there. Perhaps I'm on the wrong website? I was led to believe that PurePolaris.com was the official Polaris site, if there is another site, I'd certainly like to know if anyone can direct me. I've noticed on the forum that others hold the Polaris Glacier plow system in high regard, it's more expensive but allows just driving and engaging the unit instead of working pins underneath. I think for myself that with a plow mounted underneath that I would not need to detach it until the end of winter so it would not be that big a deal. But others say they have to remove the plow bracket after the winter as it gets in the way and gets damaged. So, perhaps the Glacier system is worth the price (?). Anyone's comments on this would be of interest to us, and thanks in advance!
A side note, Cabela's sell's winches, their "TrailTamer" line, anyone have any experience with them? I'm leaning towards a 3000# rated winch for my 05 Polaris ATP 330 as it weighs some 700#, am I correct on this? Regards, Bob

A 2,500# winch would be good but I heard Trail Tamers and Superwinch are junk. Actually I hear that about every winch except Warn and Ramsey, so it's just hearsay. I never had a Trail Tamer myself. If you only put the plow on and take it off once a year the bottom mounts with long push tubes are just fine. But when I left my mount on and rode some trails it got all bent out of shape and it took a big crescent wrench and prybar, 2# hammer, grinder, files, a drill, and paint to fix it after hitting a few stumps and rocks. It worked okay for part of one ride and I had to take it off when I got home and fix it.

Many thanks to you gentlemen, I now found my Owners Manual, in 6 languages no less, and Parts Manual to boot, really nice to be able to download them. Am I correct that the Glacier 1 plow system is superior to the G2? The Pure Polaris site states that the G2 is "new and improved" and less $$, but the reviewers I have read say stick with the G1 system, more durable perhaps? Your experiences would be of interest, thanks!

as far as winches go spend the money on a Warn, I know there's a big price difference, but those Chinese winches are junk, I have a gorilla winch, and I have fixed it 3 times, and had it back to them 2 times, and next time it takes a dump I'm going to get a Warn. IMO Go Warn or go home.
