POLARIS 250 vs honda 250ex what to buy?
#22
I think that the reason polaris doesn't recall their machines because they would be constantly recalling them, everyone i know who has owned them has had nothing but problems, im sure that some people have no problems but theyre probably always doing maintainence on them, im sorry, but i hate polaris. Honda yamaha kawasaki bombardier but no polaris for me.

I've said it before, and I will say it again, you polaris riders (namely scramdaddy, and quadfather) are way too defensive. If anyone says anything that isn't polaris positive (hardly ever a bashing post), you two jump all over it. And, ever since honda sent out a couple of recalls (which I would rather have than the company act like nothing is wrong), you bring it up everytime someone says anything good bout honda's. Also, Honda's aren't the only ATV's that get recalled, as I know 2 polaris recalls that recently happened. One was about oil lines on a Mag. 325, and the other was about a sticking throttle on a sport 400. I mean, jeeze, just take a break.

I have a 14 year old son. I bought him a used 230 quadsport for a couple of reasons. 1. Last summer he and five other of his friends rode every day. Two WERE new, a 250 Quadrunner and 400 scrambler, both look like they have been through a war,(hillclimbing, mudbogging and trailriding). 2.When he brakes it and we fix it and he learns. 3. He likes to jump
The 250ex Is just about the same as the 230. Both are 229cc 5speed/reverse four stoke bikes. 230 is 304lb 4.9" ground clearance kick start 250ex is 355lb 5.9" ground clearance electric start. Don"t get me wrong I like Polaris Im dealing on a 400 explorer for myself. But kids will be kids and when they get together stuff happenes. He's had the bike on top of him a couple of time(he has full riding gear)> I think weight is inportant with kids and the TB is 461lb Well I hope this help
