Add another to the Junk chinese polaris winch club. 1st one lasted maybe 3 rides, then winch quit. Would make noise & showed 12 volts across terminals so not contactor. Still under warranty so dealer swapped out. 2nd has been doing fine for almost 3 years now. It has seen alot of use too, pulling out of mud, plowing.

 

i had not known about the polaris brand winch being junk before i bought my machine. I bought my 08 last july and have not had one problem with it...maybe i just got lucky.....

 

John where did you get your winch

 

just went thru same thing thought it was a bad contactor, bought a new one and installed it then nothin. took it apart and found a broken gear nd bad spring. anyone know who makes the winch maybe u can order parts cant afford to buy another after the 100$ contactor that prolly cant be returned.

I have a super winch, plowed twice with it, alot of up and down of the plow and no problems yet. Hope it stays that way.

It is a T1500, I wonder if will be strong enough to pull me and the SP500 outta the mud.

The only thing I don't like about the winch so far is the switch box is as big as a pack of butts!

 

skinny good luck gettin out of very much mud, some people say they struggle with a 2,500 when they're stuck pretty good

 

I will have to see how she does. If it sucks then I will ditch it and go bigger.

I only payed like $50 brand new, private sale.

 

At least make sure you got a ****** block with ya.....
