Trail Blazer starting problems!
#1
I have a 98' 250 trail blazer. It wasn't running too well to start out. When ever you really gave it gas, just seemed like it bogged down. Started fine. I took the carburetor apart and made sure it was clean and main jet clear, etc.... Put back together, and it isn't starting. I cranked on it for about 15 min and it finially started sputtering and started, ran ok. Then after I let it set a while wouldn't start again. Not sure if it is flooding, with the air cleaner off you can see gas spitting back into the air cleaner. Also I found a vaccum hose I think laying under the carburetor....comes off the bottom and side of carb to another hose with a little round thing that says vac on it but nothing connected to the other side of it...should this be pluged off. I tried it and still no difference. Any ideas????

the end that comes off the carb should not be connected to anything. did you check the compression on this bike? should be at least 100 psi. is the float set correct in the carb, is the plug getting wet? just a few things to check.

I just took the carb back apart and set the float parallel to the gasket and set the air screw 1 1/2 turns from the seat like it says. Still getting gas spitting back and not starting. No I havent checked the compression yet I will see if I can do that soon.
