Decided to go with a Warn RT30 on my '07 Sportsman 800.

Which mount should I use? Is there any drawbacks/advantages to the Warn?

 

I don't know anything about the various winch mounts out there, but I can tell you a complaint I have with mine (I don't even know the brand). The rollers do not stick out far enough, so when I attach the hook to my Moose plow, the cable is pointing straight down, and rubs against the frame of the mount, causing wear on the cable and the bracket that connects the hook to the cable. Just something to be concious of... if the cable is straight down, does it touch anything? That would be what I would watch for.

Mine is an older setup. I would guess that the newer winches, mounts, and plows do not have that issue, but I just thought I'd share my experience. Bottom line, think about what things you might be using it for that might be unusual, and consider anything that could be a factor for that application.

go here and look under winch mounts>Polaris. You will get every darn thing you will need to do the job, even an instruction sheet.

KFI mount plates are very nice and have a nice price tag too

 

These guys are top notch. Powder coating is great, everything is strong and it fits perfectly. Shipping is fast and mount is under $40.
