01 trailblazer 325 stator problems

How much power is the stator supposed to put the battery? My battery keeps going dead after a couple rides . Im only getting 3.5 to 5 volts to the battery . the battery is new and has checked out to be good . thanks

check regulator with motor running about about 2500 - 3000 RPMS. should read 13.5v to 15v at the battery
