Went riding MLK weekend and had very cold temps..-13 to about +28 degrees..The STICK STOPPERS filled up with snow and ice and froze up..When I moved the atv it spun a rear axle and ripped three boots...The answer to this problem is remove them in the winter I GUESS...Costly lesson learned !!!!

Stick-Stoppers bolt on to the rear a-arms to pervent sticks from tearing your boots..they work very good as long as it is warm.Just removed mine and will not reinstall until spring time..(Stick-Stopper is the trade name for cv boot guards)..

STICK STOPPERS +SNOW -ICE = TORN BOOTS AND STRIPPED AXLE....
we were just out in garage looking at our other Sportsman that never went on trip..Last rode deer season ..It has a lot of mud and debris stuck up top of the stoppers..We are thinking of serious ditching them..They catch everthing and there is no way out..They work almost like a scoop..open in the front and closed in the back...
