Swamp Lite sidewall repair
In general, sidewall damage is not supposed to be "fixable", at least from a strictly technical standpoint. On a car, it is illegal to repair sidewall damage (or so I've been told... never pulled out my handy law book to verify) because of the high re-failure rate.
That said, I would agree with TLC... if you are going to try to fix it, a patch AND a tube is probably your best bet.
Not to be mr. negative, but I wouldn't expect it to last long... I hope it does if you try it. I'd love to see a follow up after a few test runs if you do it.

Swamp Lite sidewall repair
I was just about to suggest the same thing as Jeff did about vulcanize proceedjure , there use to be a few big tire centers in my hometown that could repair tires with small holes in the tread and sidewall of tire in the late 50's till the early 70's with great results ; however i don't know of anyones that do this anymore mainly because they make more profit selling new tire's now day's !
But like TLC , jchunn and eggenz7 i agree that the inside patch and tube would holdup for small holes but i don't know how good it would work on cut's in any area of a tire !...........
