XP owners! Is an oil change easy on them?

Whatever............... The constant whining about a machine you don't own gets very old. I like the suggestions and criticism, but putting down certain parts of the machine constantly, and having no experience with it kinda makes me upset.
It's no different than any of us going to the CanAm section and telling them how weak the frame is on their Outlanders. It's actually kind of immature.

Nah..it wasn't directed at your suggestion at all.. BUT I admit I was being a smartass toward TLC..I get into that kind of mood sometimes..I probably misunderstood his post....easy to do when you are just reading the words and then have to figure out the context...in any case it's all good..I really was LMAO though...after re-reading the second post I figured I'd catch hell for the owner comment..lol

Sometimes this is the case with some people..but not Dave..perhaps you need to look at his posts again...it is clear he is doing research on the XP becuse he intends to get one...not just to point out little nitpicky things as a hobby or jealousy or whatevr it is that makes some guys do that....

I hate to change the subject ..... lol ..... what kind of oil are you using on the XP's? I was reading the manual last night and it recommends 2/50 weight Polaris synthetic.

Well, I hope some people never own one, only because then the whining about the tires, winch, brushguards, etc, etc, etc will be in every post. Wait, it already is. Most of this is all opinions, and opinions are hard to form with no experience.
Look at LaMigras posts....ya, they are great, but he doesn't even own half the machines he talks about. He rides them a few times just like any other magazine writer. The facts are with the owners with first hand experience. Even then, it's still 90% opinion.
HO and I have the exact same machine and we still differ on a few subjects, but I'll take it because he does actually ride one.
Besides, maybe my comments will make some people pull the trigger finally, and then they will be thankful.

No one was putting down your machine.
I'll tell you what's old... hearing you tell the guys that they are "imagining" the POS Polairis winches and Crappy Glacier II mounts, and all the other problems they are having.
You can be a "brand loyal" puppet all you want... not me. If you don't like the negative comments or suggestions... why not just move on and ignore them.

It is up in there a few inches..so far I haven't punctured mine..or had anything even touch it for that matter...maybe I have been lucky but looking at it yes it is kind of exposed but it would have to be a perfect shot for something to get it..so it really hasn't concerned me YET..
I haven't given it alot of thought because I am holding out for some good skids.. I did suggest that who ever ends up making some skids should make a removeable plate over that area..maybe something attached with countersunk Zeus fasteners...</end quote></div>
I'm looking for some skid plates too, and I don't even have a mile on the machine yet , as well as protection for the rear A-Arms.
