Stendori - you're running Swamplites on our wife's machine aren't you. How do you/she like them?

Your right, the Swamplites have had a good rap in this forum.
But recent negative posts have conceeded that they are TOO
soft a tire, wear faster and same amount of punctures issues
as the Mudlites. I don't know, just stating what others have
said. I still think as long as it handles good, any tire can get
punctures but that is just IMHO. I think when you put that kind
of money out you expect it to be that much more better of a tire
one that is more durable.

What about those Mudbog radials? Somebody's got to have had
them out here.

lefty - please give us so more specifics on the Swamplites - how are they on the trail - how about the mud - how about rock climbing - any snow rides in KC?

Sorry - guess I've missed the negative reviews on the Swamplites. Does anybody have comments pos/neg on these?

On my motorcycle I run Dunlop Qualifiers. Soft tire that only gives me one season but when I go into a corner hard I have confidence they will stick, even in the rain. I know I sacrifice longevity for the grip I get.

I think it's a hard choice deciding what's the best tire for an ATV. Need to know if you want something that best on the trail, best in mud, best in the sand, best rock climbing, etc., etc.. Most people need to find the best compromise for the type of riding they do. For me, I am looking for a tire that is a good trail rider but sacrifices some comfort for mud/snow, and has good side lugs for rock climbing. So my ideal tire won't be the best mud tire - won't be the best trail tire - won't be a dune tire - but will be the right mix for me.

I am not real concerned about longevity - but do want a stong tire that will not puncture easily on the trail - especially sidewall punctures.

Here here 5 J's, I think we are in one accord here.
You know not to get on a soap box again, but dang
you wouldn't think this would be so difficult to discover.

I feel that I have been doing tire research for about 2yrs
now and still as of right now, I don't know what to buy!
I do think I would be happy with the Mud bogs, Mudlites XTR
or Swamplites if and when I do decide to buy them.

Not sure about the Big Horns, but those nice Terra cross XD are
close to a $1000 bucks after I priced the set with rims and all the
extras. I think I can be just a happy with something half the price
afterall all these tires have WON everyone's opinion in being MUCH
MORE BETTER than over STOCK. So you can't go wrong from that
perspective, but like you I want the best bang for my BUCK!

Regards,

R'

I don't know where you get the $1000. All the quotes I have had are under $750, unless you go to a dealer.

Rtick - reality is they are likely all good tires or people wouldn't be so passionate about them. If any were truly junk we would know. Pick the ones that you think will suit your style of riding and fit your budget and give them a try.

I would still like to here Stendori's review of the Swamplites!

I don't care to dabble in reviews. Here is a little vid of the MST. Do what you want, just giving you something real to look at.

Swamplites - Very aggressive tire pattern, Mud- dig like nothing else, and clean out very well- Hard pack(Trails)- very good grip, able to churn the dry ground if needed - Snow - Haven't had enough snow to really tell allot but from what it has been in have had no problems(supposed to be very good in deep snow) Rock climbing- went down to Chadwick, MO if anybody has been there you know that there are some places that have some serious spots in it and these swamplites did very good in my opinion. Like I said before with the addition of Slime I have never had a puncture or any problems with this tire. I can see where evferyone is complaining about softness because they are a soft tire but wearing pretty good for me.
