Default no spark

I currently have no spark to the plugs. This happened at the exact time I tried to install a timing key. After the flywheel didn't just come right off like i was told it would i tried to "tap" the end of the puller to get it to release. Now i wonder if i could have damaged the pickup or ?? I checked to inputs to the coil with a test light while cranking and found no voltage. I do not have a service manual so i'm not sure what is supposed to be there. Can anyone help with some ideas on what to check??

THANKS TRAMENDOUSLY.

if the flywheel did not come straight off (which is very likely) then it could have hit the pickup coil causing the airgap to be off. have you tried cranking it with the pull rope? there have been a few success stories doing it that way. the starter can not spin the motor fast enough to get the pulse coil to activate but a hefty pull the rope will fire it up every time. .022 ~.028" is the gap setting. give me a second and ill post up the link to a manual to your machine.

well i cant find the link posted on here. id bet that somebody will post it this evening

I have never seen a pull rope on this bike.....??

And the flywheel finally came off. Let it set all day with a pull on it. tapped it a few times and bam, off it jumped at me.

Now i see what might be the problem. Apparently a bolt was in too far on the puller and when the flywheel turned it knocked one of the two wires off the stator( i thnk thats what that is behind the flywheel).

I thought that was just for charging the batt though. Is it part of the ignition?? Because all of this started with me trying to get the flywheel off. Hoping i can resoilder the wire back on and be good to go.

THANKS

PS. i would love a link to a service manual.
