torque specs

Default torque specs

Dose any one know were I can get head bolt toqure specs for a early 2004 polairs 700 without buying a manual; also how to adjust the valves on a 2005 , 500 HO sportsman?

[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] .006 clearance intake and exhaust on the 500. Pull plug(makes it easier) remove 14 mm bolt at top of recoil,use flashlight while pulling recoil slowly,watch as intake valves start to come up, then check hole for tdc mark(shows etched inverted "T" on flywheel) then check valves for clearance,adjust if needed,DONT have have the torque specs on the 700 in my old head,maybe some other posters have the manual handy! Good luck
