Default How to get axle out of '99 Xplorer?

I have a '99 Xplorer 400 and the swingarm broke. Got the new swingarm, but can't get the axle out of the old swingarm. Got the locking collar off the nuts, but can't get the nuts to break loose. Have applied a lot of torque with a pipe wrench and cheater and still haven't had any luck. Am I missing something? Thanks for any ideas.

Worst case scenario, you can use air chisel to loosen nut and order replacement!. I have a long tube with socket and 1/2" impact adapter welded in to impact nuts off and I sometimes have a little trouble if has been on a while even with this tool!If heat and penetrant wont help, easier just to impact off and not fight it! Have heard of guys locking pipe wrenches into nut, cranking and trying to break loose in forward gear! I DONT advise this as very dangerous if wrench slips!

Dont waist time trying to break it off take a dremmil with a cut off wheel and make 2 cuts in the nut then smack it with a big chisels.Replace nuts.I had been through this too many times to even mess with it.

Thanks guys! Guess it is time to break out the cut-off wheel. What all parts do you guys recommend replacing when reinstalling the swingarm and axle? I'm talking as far as bushings, bearings, and seals? Quad has about 3500 miles on it.

Check the swingarm bolts for wear and you may think about replacing the axle bearings and seals if wore any at all
