hey guys new to the forum thought i would post my 1st issue. i just bougt a 01 scrambler 500 for a really good deal, quad looks good ran good till i decidd to take off the fmf silencer to check the packing. the hex bolts i had to cutoff now after just sticking it back together i noticd that when i 1st crank it up after a couple of mins of idling th head pipe gets really hot and smoking a bit almost like i spilled oil on it. i'm wondering if the silencer is the problem its pretty old and bashed up and it didn;t do this before. any ideas whats going on? thanx
