Heelclicker killed my primary clutch!

I don't understand how the HC caused the belt to wear grooves in the sheeves. Not saying it isn't so just don't understand how. The HC is only a set of adjustable weights which will change the engagement and rate of up/down shift. Wouldn't you need some significant slipping to wear grooves and isn't the purpose of the HC to increase belt grab and reduce slipping? Not trying to start anything. Would just like to hear an explanation of the mechanics / cause & effect.

ya savage all i needed to go w/ was just an up grade on the primary spring(thats all you'll need as well big R'). anything bigger then the 27" and i would have used the whole kit. this is just my .02 on the H/C. you also add a heavier prim. and sec. spring(in most cases depending on the appl.) and w/ the heavier weights it does add extra belt grap and w/ these new hard compound belts there is a good chance after alot of use that it can where out the clutch faces w/ grooves. h/c's are used in the utility bikes now as well as the sporty's but are mostly for the extra belt grap and a little extra bottom end grunt to help turn bigger tires. imo.

Interesting post. Being the ignorant one... could someone fill me in on what a "heelclicker" is. I'm out of the loop on this one. Never heard of it. I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance
