Trailblazer 250 questions
I know this has probably been beat to death, but i just picked up a new to me '01 TB 250 and I want to know what's the best mods for these without putting on a different pipe.
I know a pipe would perk it up alot, but a buddy has one on his & it's way too loud for trails around here.
Is a K&N worth it??
Open up the airbox & rejet??
What clutching mods are worth it with the stock pipe??
I don't want a sky-high stall rate with the clutch either as my wife will be riding this as her trail quad. I have a Hot Seat kit in my Scrambler 500 & she hates the high stall (3200 RPM engagement)

All good suggestions FTWFLH. First and foremost do a compression check. to see where you are on the top end. White primary is good, if that doesn't do it go with the Polaris green, (my favorite). Check the clutch centers --10"-- and belt. Secondary clutch buttons are always suspect. RCR can get you HPD stuff which offers a super quiet muffler. Ther is one thing if you are willing that I know adds a bang to these things. Have the head milled, I had .020 taken off a head and put it on my plow 250. The raised compression helped the power a bunch, I ran 93 octane with that head. Good luck. Doc

I do know that. I could use an HPD pipe & a stock 400 muffler, not a 250. The stock 250 pipe/silencer is all one piece. BUT, I'm still afraid the head pipe will "ting" pretty loud.
What about a K&N and opening up the airbox, anybody do this??
