Ive found on my SP500 that all you have to do is put one knee on the seat and brace that foot on the rail on the rack (if equipped) and throw all your wieght back. If you get in trouble its easier to bail with your knee on the seat.

Grab in what??? Titan 489s grab good off road, snow and average mud, 589s in DEEP mud (as do Vampyres and many others) On a track, I can't help you much.

Wheelies on a Scrambler--no problem. I have a Scrambler 500 4x4 w/ IDS2 and clutch kit. Just give it H. The front end is a little heavy, but nothing the motor can't handle. I have found that it works better if you are moving about 5 mph, gas it and give a little pull, the clutch lag is very minimal. Once you get it up there, find the balance point, and then it is only a matter of playing with the throttle and brake. Wheelies of 400+ feet are no problem (except if you run out of room).

Trailbosses are easy to get up too. Put both feet on back rack hit the throttle and wait for the machine to just take off(approx 1 sec) and shift your weight to the back. My freinds trailboss is easy to wheelie on.

stebob, The Lakota almost keeps up with the Wifes stock Xplorer up to about 50mph and then it starts droping back pretty fast. With the mods the Lakota used to keep up to my 98 Sportsman pretty good but the Xplorers 2-stroke is too much for it to handle. The Lakota against my Xplorer isn't even close. It is about 10 quads back in about 100yds.I weigh 240lbs my son is about 120lbs so he really has the weight advantage also. The Lakota was my first ride and it is a great bike but, it just not in the same league as the Xplorer in outright acceleration. In real tight trails it is a different story there the Lakota will start to walk away till things open up a little.
