Default Help all you techs out there.

I have a 2002 Magnum 500 and the 4x4 works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. The light on the switch stays on when I have it in AWD. When it engages it does it hard. I just don't know where to start with this thing. Gearcase? Switch? Thanks guys.

Does the speedometer show the correct gear? Low, n high? Ive seen them go bad usually they show the wrong gear or say error, have you changed the fluid in the hubs?

The only indicators on it are reverse and neutral. The neutral light comes on when I push in the override button. I haven't changed the fluid in the hubs. The manual I have doesn't show how, actually it does but only for the hubs where you can take the outer caps off. mine are a sealed unit from the outside. Any pointers on how to do this? Thanks

The hubs have an allen screw in them.Take it out and revolve the tire til its on the bottom.Turn it to 10 oclock and refill.Use only POLARIS Hub oil.really thin stuff. Also make sure you have changed and have the correct oil in your front gear case.
