Is that the standard cable size? I need to get a shorter one for this winter and Im not sure what size I have on it now.

I bought 40' of Stainless Steel cable, for like $18-$20 at Lowes, and put the eye on the end myself, versus the $30-$40 for regular cable
What was the load rating on the cable you bought at lowes? I've looked before but never found 3/16 cable that I felt had the proper load rating. Not all cables are the same, even if they are the same thickness. That could be an accident waiting to happen.

Usually the standard size of rope is listed in the user's manual. 3/16" is the popular thickness and 50' the length.
