i am the proud (hopefully) new owner of an Xpedition 425. I like the idea of shifting gears and it came loaded with everything i need. i payed $3300 CAD for it. it's in mint shape and has 1700miles on it.

how did i do on this deal? will i be paying for it in the end. i know this quad is rare and parts may be a pain to find but i also hear they are bullet proof.

 

Good machines!! Still have several running around I service. ONLY thing you wont like is that it usually takes 5 1/2 quarts for oil change! Other thing is shift pedal splines are very soft and can strip out. Just keep bolt tight on shifter. Good luck

Looks good and sounds like a pretty good deal. I see similar age/size rides for sale very near this price but not nearly as tricked out. Doesn't look very much like my 2000 Xpedition 425, you got a whole lot more goodies on it :-)

Haven't had to do much as far as parts go, but in looking around they seem to be pretty available.

 

hey how is that seat mounted on there.. i have a 99 sportsman 500 that looks pretty much the same... it looks like that seat is mounted on top of the rack.. let me know.. i would like to put one on mine but dont wanna do any crazy mods... i would like to take it off rather easy for when im gone by myself

i don't actually have the bike yet, picking it up tomorrow. i'm 80% sure the seat is directly mounted to the rack. as for the plywood, i couldn't tell you. that pic is the kijiji pic.
