Taking it out in the morning for the first ride. Like the camo, dont like the white safety warning labels. What is the easiest way to remove them?

Check with your dealer, If you remove your stickers, it may void certain warantee policies. I covered a few of mine with matching fender bags. Those stickers are a bear to get off.

I used a hair dryer to warm the stickers from underneath the fender. Be careful not to get them too warm or they come of in really small peices. Be careful with the scraper you will scrape the fender. I used my finger nails. Once you get the sticers off use wd40 and a soft rag to remove the goo. That "goo-gone" don't work as good and is spendy. And dont worry about the warranty, those are warnings to cover ther butts from lawsuits from people who say "Hey watch this..." and then blame the manufactuer for their own stupitity.

Thanks for the replies guys! The first ride went well. Got really muddy. I will have to get some of the shock covers to keep the mud off.

Any other SP 500 owners mount a gun boot on? If so, will the older style one work? I will have to go out and give her a bath and mess with the stickers and old model gun boot that I have for the tube type rack.

What are your feelings on the K&N air filters?

I too just got a 5oo about a week ago. I couldn't wait to go play in the mud. The most important thing that the dealer told me was to have patience and break it in first. This is also stressed in the owners manual. Proper break in will help your hefty investment last a lot longer. Also change the oil and filter after about 10 or so hours. I still haven't got this far on mine. Have fun and have patience.
