My mother just passed away and left her '96 300 xplorer 4x4 to my daughter. My daughter ran into a tree a few years ago and it popped the plastic around a couple of the bolts that hold it down. For the time being I'm just going to install some longer bolts with some fender washers so the rack does flop around everytime I grab it.

What size / thread pitch are those factory torx bolts that hold the rack on? They live in a small town about 120 miles south so I'd like to pick them up before I head down there.

Good question! Never have checked thread pitch but are standard threads! IF you have just one survivor,hardware store can match em up! Probably will have only phillips head screws, but as long as they work!
