Starting problems polaris 300 trail boss
#1
Hi does anyone know what might be the probs with my sisters polaris 300 trail boss.
We have just bought the bike, and it has sat around for a while, the guy we bought it off, says he cleaned the carb??
it was running ok, then it just stopped. i removed the carb again it was really dirty, i cleaned it, i flushed the tank, replaced the in line filter, cleaned the fuel pump, and replaced the bodged fuse (fuel pump relay 10A fuse)
it runs for a while until u slow down to tick over, when it stops, after a few poss five mins it will restart and run again until again u slow 2 tick over then the same probs, i undone the float bowl screw it had fuel, i tried another plug on th ht lead it had a spark! i took plug out it was dry but sooty black, cleaned it replaced it, ann after a few mins as usuall it re started, but when i put it in gear forward or reverse it died, a few mins more and it was riding as good as new, until the next time. does anyone know what the prob could be ??
i have replaced the coil
Thanks Kat
