Default warn remote control socket

Funny story here..... I bought a brand new 700 EFI last summer, and a brand new Warn RT-30 3000lb winch with a wired remote to put on it. I installed the socket for the remote plug on the right side panel by the shifter. When I installed it, the machine was in park, so i didn't realize that I was placing it directly under the shifting lever when it was moved all the way foreward to the high gear position! So now it's like a safety feature.......no winch remote if the machine is in high gear! the remote will only plug in when the machine is in any gear other than high. Of course, as long as you are sitting on it, there is always the thumb switch.

I put my friends in his front lock box (don't know if your xp has that) it's pretty water tight in there, made a clean install.

thanks jodaanja and reno82 for your help, I found a perfect spot and if i could learn how to post pics i would show ya but it is on the left side of the pod on the black part just ahead of the accessory plug. it was very easy to put there the wireing goes just behind the headlight and out the bottom of the pod.

Very clean, I'm like seeing clean work, sloppy add-ons bug me.
