07 popo 500 shifts hard at the handle runnin or not

I've checked the idle, it's 1160 rpm at idle. It does not creep like others I've heard about. The dealer told me to check the shims behind the secondary clutch, all I saw back there was a single washer. HE SAID TO REMOVE THE SMALLEST AND go from there but I only saw the single washer. Rcently replaced the rotary switch on the tranny that sends the gear ur in to the pod and don't want to buy another $70.00 one. Hopin yall can help so I don't have to take in, dad and I are gonna go ridin in black river next weekend so want to fix asap.

First thing to do is put the shims back behind your secondary clutch like it was originally. You'll probably have to remove the cover plate behind the gear indicator switch where the linkage goes in and inspect linkage in tranny.

The dealer put a clutck kit in it, if they did take em out I don't have em. I thought about taking that cover off just to have a look to see if anything is wearing in there, it does seem like it at that end b/c when ya watch the rod it bows when pulling shifter back.

Mine shift hard from day one. Especial from drive to reverse. But I've notice a hair tickle to the throttle helps, to much of a tickle will cause a grind.

woe woe ..... he is only having a little difficulty with stiff shifting and you suggest get a Honda. That is like saying my Ferrari needs air in the right front tire so you should probably consider a Yugo! lol
