Let us know how you like the Maxxis tires. I bet they ride smoother and softer than the ITP's. You will enjoy them I'm sure.</end quote></div>

I have some experience with the BH's.....and yes the BHs are hands down smoother..the XTRs are smoother on the trail than they look like they would be..but not as smooth at the BH's.
The XTRs are fine for what they are..but I really just fell into them and couldn't pass them up...
I'll likely pick up some mud tires to put on the ITP wheels so I'll have a trail set and a mud set..although mudding is rare for me anymore..
I'm going to be putting ALOT of miles on the 850 next month on trails in Florida..so I bit the bullet and bought a true trail tire.
BTW I went with the 2.0s...just because I hadn't notice anyone else mention trying them.

As for the zero offset wheels, I emailed rathracing last week about them, but heard nothing back.</end quote></div>

Try calling Douglas maybe..I've learned in the ATV product arena you get alot more results on the phone.

I went with ITP Terracross and got them to the door for $400 per set (25 inch stock size). They are 6 ply and ride smoother than the stockers and are increduble off road.

Yea Rod... I was looking hard at the Bighorn 2.0's for my 500 because of the lighter weight than many other tires. I will be interested in your take on them

Still haven't decided whether I should spend the bucks on tires and wheels for the 500, or put the money towards an XP.

The XP's a good plan DCT but then you'll still need to buy tires LOL!

IMO, any machine needs tires better than the stock ones, but as you can see there are quite a few getting by with the stockers.

That's true rancher... all the more reason to find out how the BH 2.0's work out.

BH's are what I've decided to get also, just trying to wear down my stockers first!

I put on the BH 2.0s yesterday. The tread pattern is real similar to the BHs but it is more open..the lugs are narrower with more open space between the lugs. And the tire carcass it self seems a little thinner than what I remember the BHs being...but it's been awhile. Iv'e only put a few hours on them, but so far I am very impressed. It will climb over trees and up dirt hills like it is on tracks...For where I choose to ride they work exremely well on the XP. I think the more open tread pattern was a good move...it may hurt performance in deep sand though.. I'll find out next month when I go to Florida
Time will tell how they wear and hold up.
