Default Duro power grip tires. oem size for xp!

I was searching the net and came across the tires. http://www.durotire.com/produc...ails.php?productid=620 . They are the same oem size as the xp. They are 4 ply rated not six though. Anybody have any info on them? They run about $400.00 a set on tiresunlimeted.com. Is this not what xp owners have been waiting for?

If those rears are a true 12" wide tire, they will be tougher to get to fit than the 11" wide that already require spacers, or the "HIGHOCTANE" rear sway bar mod.

One of these manufacturers needs to come out with a good 10" wide rear (14" rim) tire for folks who don't want to do either.

There is a 26x10x14 size available. Look on the web page. It is the 4th option.

It looks like these are the tires that rath is using on his 850. In The video that is out there he has 0 offset wheels and says his machine is 46.5 " wide.

Am I missing something here? I thought xp owners would love to hear this news. Am I correct that these are the same as oem tires? 26x8x14 and 26x10x14?

Yep, you are correct, there is a 10" wide... good find. Maybe the XP owners don't won't the 4 ply?

Yeah I noticed those on a vid that was posted of Rath's 850..I also noticed a Duro banner in that vid..so I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that those are the tires he is running..
Being a 4ply they should be light which is great for racing..too bad the site doesn't list a weight..
But on a machine as heavy as the 850 I'm not sure I'd trust a 4ply for long term use..Rath can replace them any time he wants to...at $400 a set I'd just as soon run BH's..for even less than that..the size isn't an issue for me,I actually prefer the wider 9 and 11's..the swaybar mod is easy.
My BH 2.0s will be here tomorrow Well less than $400 shipped.

Let us know how you like the Maxxis tires. I bet they ride smoother and softer than the ITP's. You will enjoy them I'm sure.

As for the zero offset wheels, I emailed rathracing last week about them, but heard nothing back.

I am keeping my eyes open on this subject. I plan on wearing out the original tires or at least close to it before spending the money on replacements. I don't want to run spacers and will do the HO Bar mod if I have to. In this case I think the 4 ply may be light. I also want to stay with the tire circumference as I do not want the gear ratio to change with a different tire size.
