94 sportsman 400 no brake pressure

ha! yeah I've seen lots of threads about that, but it struck me as an issue on the newer machines
this old unit is strictly mechanical - no rear master cylinder or anything like that
there's just a lever connected to the foot pedal and the lever turns a corkscrew type cam out that pushes on a rod that forces the piston out.
I don't know much about them, but it seems to me like it's probably a pretty solid backup because it's got nothing to do with the hydraulic system!
But mine is either just not adjusted right or the cam that actuates the piston when you move the lever is corroded or hung up or something

rear brake adjusted ok, seems to work
got enough done to take it for a test spin, seems to work great
seal up the outer clutch cover, reinstall the rear body and racks, put the front chain guard on, a few other small body panels and she should be good to go.
I have a winch mount to install as well and an old warn A2000 to repair - but then I'm set!
thanks for the help

crap - got it all together, mounted the winch mount, and put the body all back on
took it in the backyard to do a few laps with the kids and the hot light comes on...
going to start another post...hopefully this is the last one!

I think the coolant was just low or needed burped or something - jumped the fan and it works
topped off coolant ran it with the cap off for a few minutes to try and get the air out - got it up to temp and the fan came on!
hopefully that solves the hot light problem (should - radiator doesn't work to well without the fan!)

if there ws air in the system then it would do just that. running w/ a loose cap does the trick most of the time, but dont go into any mud or what ever while its loose. ya and the fan helps when it works lol.

tried duplicating the problem with no success - so I guess that means success!
Got my winch mount on and ordered new parts for my A2000 warn...once they show up I can wire it up and install the winch and I'm d - u - n done! About a 50 or so hour project but it should be a good machine now and all that for about $300!
