Found a fan motor!! For all 98 and older Polaris's
#1
Went down to the local Auto Zone with my third burnt up fan motor. Asked what they had. Guy came back with a fan motor for a 89 Beretta. Approximately same diameter and depth. Only mods to fit it to plate was to drill two holes in the mount plate. I also had to open the hole on the fan blade a little with a Dremel.
The motor is not sealed but I figure that might be an advantage since I can wash it out. We will find out soon enough. The motor spins the blades faster than a stock one.
Total cost: $28 and a lifetime warranty (dude told me to return 'em when I burn 'em up).
Polaris fan motor: $107 and no warranty.

I should've looked where you were from Polcat!LOL I just figured you were from Arkansas and that was the way ya'll pronounced Camaro. 'Round here we call 'em Tie-Yoti Camry. Thanks for the info. I would prefer a sealed motor but I will try this one and see what happens. I will try the Camry one next. It is inevitable that I will burn this one up, probably at Longview in a couple weeks.
