I would like to put the kit on but am afraid with the pipe and silencer I will add too much noise and make for angry neighbors. How much louder will it get and is their anything else I could do to use the kit and keep the noise within reason.

Thanks

Rick Ritter put a kit together for my friends 2001 Scrambler 500 4X4 and it is way louder. It sounds like a tank now. He likes it that way though.

Get the kit without the silencer and use your stock one.

Get the HPD pipe with the forestry approved silencer. It's not near as loud, and is legal for riding in National Forests. It has a nice, low rumble to it.

I have the RCR combo pipe and silencer and it is loud. I like it though. HPD offers a bunch more silencer options and has dB ratings for them. Just remember, the louder it is the faster it goes!
