i quess iv never heard of this. but if there is id quess its just like buying a new wheeler. 10hrs. but i had a belt put on my old wheeler and the repair guy never said nothing to me. but if id guess id say no on a break in time. since its a belt not a new motor.

ya there suppose to be a break in period on all belts but most dont go by it and really dont have too much issue. it just so when the belt heats up and streches a little. if your concerned just take it easy for a few miles and dont beat on it too much like full throttle and spinning tires right off the bat. imo

Just make sure you buff the clutch sheaves up a bit, numbers on the belt facing you when installing, and I believe the OEM is the 77 series

New Belts should be broken in.

Belt tips

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Always be sure to break in a new belt for 10-20 miles with partial throttle and constant variable running (shifting) before any hard riding or full throttle operation. This allows the belt to move in the pulleys reducing normal manufacturing irregularities and helps it conform to the pulley angles</end quote></div>
