94 trail boss 250
Just bought this ride.It did not run.Got it running.Now when you put it in gear it engages then you give it gas and all you hear is poping sliping gear noise in trans.Is this a common proublem.

does it do it in forward only or both forward and reverse.
if it just does it in forward then the silent chain inside gearcase is stretched and needs to be replaced.
if its both directions i would look at your drive chain and sprokets. would start there anyway cuz its the easiest to check out
