how to contact polaris

Hello I own a 2004 polaris sportsman 500ho. Last thursday my ecm on my machine caught fire. I am trying to get a hold of polaris to see if they will back that part up because with just my luck mine was one of the few that wasnt recalled for this problem. Does anybody have a # or anything to contact polaris?

In my opinion this company does not care. They got your hard earned money when purchased, gave you a generous 6 months warranty (big deal) and now they could care less. I have called them several times regarding problems with my 2003 twin 600. They always refer me to my dealer. I wrote a letter to the CEO almost 3 weeks ago, and still have no answer.
I have been waiting for almost a year for the upgrade to the CDI problem with these units. I have given up in fixing my machine, my next step might be a fire pit.

every post i have ever read or heard about concerning talking to polaris is almost a waste of time as stated they tell you to contact your dealer for help. it seems to me that if you have a crappy dealer you get no where and if the dealer is great and has great customer service then they will go to bat for you with polaris on issues such as this. now the main reason as i understand it for the ecm replacement was becuase of a poltential fire hazard and it sounds like it met that for sure on your bike. i would think it would be in their best interest to replace that part just to prevent bad PR for a fire hazard bike. good luck w/ it.

My brother had the exact same problem with his 2004 330 ATP and it was a good thing that he was home, because it started melting and gave off a burning smell.
He's had a problem from day 1 with his electrical system, he's had to buy a new battery every 6 months to a year and has gone thru 5 of them before the meltdown. Now it's obvious that this part was the problem from the get go and his dealer had it in about 12 times for this and 1 other issue, but they wouldn't cover it.
This is really getting under my skin because they (Polaris) just blew me off (I wrote to their contact us e-mail) with my 2008 having a bad gas guage sensor 6 months out of warranty with less than 40 hours on it and now it will cose me over $550 to fix it.
