Ready to get another Polaris and now its for me. The kids have there trailblazer and 90 scrambler and 250 explore 4x4 and the honda 300 4x4... and now it is dads turn. Want a good trail machine that has good suspention that won't hurt so bad. Not young anymore and it hurts longer and a lot more after a long days ride. Also the oldlady does not like to ride her own and usually climbs on with me. MY Question is the 400 scrambler a good machine that will cover all my needs looks real good but will it ride as well as it sounds with all that travel and does it have enough bottom end to ride in the hills with the old lady on back...( I know its not a good ideal but we have riden double for years and years and we are so used to each other we do very well on one 4wheeler.) I just want a 4 wheeler that is fast fun and a ride that makes a cadalac feel envius.
HELP!!!!!!!
thanks
realoldguy P.S. I need something that my
grandkids dont laugh at me
and say its slow and old.

I think that for the kinda of riding you are wanting to do you should get the Explorer 400 it has the same motor as the scrambler 400 an it rides really smooth an it also has the lo range gear in it. it is still pretty sporty to. My friend has a 96 exploer 400 an it is a good an fairly sporty. The low range comes in handy to save the belt when in situation where the low range is needed.Just my twocents

If you like 2 strokes and ride double alot I would suggest Explorer 400.This thing flies, and the ole-lady will be more confy on the back. But if it was me I would take a 4 stroke, more low end grunt for carring two people.Either the 425 Xpedition or the 500 magnum, you won't be disapointed. And if money is no object Sportsman 500 HO. You won't even feel your ole-lady on the back and the kids will say "Dad wait up"

If you want a 2X4 hot rod that if you want to turn up the wick a little or even a lot, this is the one you're looking for.
For fast fire roading or running logging trails, you won't find a better quad. If you like the Xplorer and can live without a low range in the trans, you'll love this fireball.
