How free should your rear wheels turn with the ATV in the air and in nuetral? I have heard many times that friction or drag is a metals worst enemy. I have never been able to spin my rears like I can spin the fronts. Is this "normal" for a Polaris 4wd? My chain tention is fine and I have never had any problems it just seems that I should be able to spin the rears like the fronts.

I think it`s because you are also spinning the trans via the chain. If you disconnect the chain it should spin like the fronts.

My Xplorer is also hard to spin. Much easier if the tranny is in Neutral, so I assume most of the drag is in the tranny.
