ATP 500 HO front end camber
#1
My '04 ATP 500 HO has quite a bit of negative camber. I didn't measured the camber yet (battery in my digital angle gauge is dead), but it's quite obvious.
Camber on on my '80 car is set to 1/4-1/2 degree for "advanced street", and 0 degrees is stock ("street"). I know about alignment settings for old Corvettes but don't know what's best for ATVs.
The vast majority of my ATVing is around our wooded lot with a modified plow on front and/or a trailer behind - not much recreational riding.
What is a good camber setting for my machine and typical use?
Are toe-in and castor adjustable too? If so, what numbers do you recommend?

The toe adustment is the only adjustment I could find in the ATP manual. The back of the front tires should be 1/16-1/8" in further than the front of the front tires. If the camber is really bad you might try heavier duty springs in the front to take any sag out.

I saw that toe-in is adjustable but I wasn't sure if there were shims for changing camber. I will probably switch to HD springs anyway because I have something attached to the front so often.
Thanks for the responses.

I just measured the camber: negative 4 degrees with the plow lifted, negative 1 degree without. That tells me the stock 64-113 lb. springs are shot. I just ordered a pair of heavy duty 80-145 lb. EPI springs for $88.50 including shipping.
I will post my questions about swapping springs once they arrive and post camber measurements with the new springs after that.
